The standings on the mountain tighten up

Both Golden and the Rockies won their games Sunday thus tightening up the standings. Fernie still has two games in hand over Golden and one on the Rockies.

The Ghostriders play Kamloops and Castlegar Friday and Saturday and both games are here in Fernie.

The Fernie Ghostriders invite all fans ages 10 and under to enter a draw to go Trick-or-Treating with the Ghostriders with each admission to remaining home games in October. Winners will be announced at the October 27th game vs the Castlegar Rebels and online for those who can not make it to the game.


Golden 4 @ BV 1
In Beaver Valley the Rockets and the Hawks were both playing  their third games in a row and Golden was on a 3 game road trip but surprised the Hawks with a 4-1 win stopping a 3 game losing streak.
 The shots were even at 35 and goalie Ryan Baker had the win and was the player of the game. Jay Hendricks had 2G 1A. Top gun Dominic Turner was not in the lineup.

BV’s goalie was Saran Virdee Rider fans will remember Virdee was released last month but surfaced in BV last week. BV has several guys out with injuries

Columbia Valley 3 @ North Oak 2 

In Armstrong the Rockies and Knights were both playing their third games in a row but it was the Rockies who got the win, their first win on their 3 game road trip.
CVR Goalie Ben Kelsch was the Rockies player of the game and the shots were 36-26 CVR. Kale Hawryluk had the game winner in the second period.
