The Eddie Mountain Breakdown

The Ghostriders won Saturday while Creston and Kimberley lost. The Riders who are on a 4 game win streak now have 25 points just 3 behind Kimberley (who have lost 3 in a row) with 28.  The Nitro's do have 1 game in hand though. Creston remains on top with 32. Beaver Valley who are top of their division and on a 12 game win streak also have 32 points.


Rockies 7 @ Fernie 8
The Ghostriders had leads of 4-1 and 6-3 but each time the Rockies battled back and with 5:12 left in the second they were leading 7-6.

With just :46 seconds left in the second Mike Dyck's goal tied the game at 7 and in the third Justin Peers bounced the game winner off the goalie from behind the goal line, it was Peers 3rd goal of the game.

All four goalies played, the Riders outshot the Rockies 46-40 and went 4-11 on the power play while the Rockies were 0-5. Both teams scored some terrific goals.

Kimberley 2 @ Castlegar 6
Shawn Campbell (2G)  scored the game winner on the PP. The Rebels who scored 3PP 1 even goal in the third went 5-17  while Kimberley was 1-12 on the power play. Logan Styler also had 2G 1A and Jason  Mailhiot  had the win in net.



Creston 2 @ Grand Forks 5
Tyler Loura was the star of the show for the Bruins stopping 38 of 40 shots. The Bruins scored 2 in the second and 2 in the third for the win. Grand Forks fired 27 at Brock Lefebvre and beat him an unusual  5 times. Chad Grambo had the GW and Brady Berger scored 2.
