The Ghostriders open their exhibition schedule this Friday night here in Fernie @ 7:30 against the Kimberley Dynamiters. The Nitros demolished the Rockies Wednesday night by a 6-1 score. Nitro writer Taylor Rocca picked Jason Richter (Vet) Tim Nicholls and Keenan Haase as the stars and the shots were 39-17 for the Nitros. Full Story Here
The Riders coach Craig Mohr was planning on using several of the local players from training camp in the three upcomming exhibition games this weekend. Friday in Fernie 7:30 , Saturday in Kimberley at 7:00 and Sunday at 4 PM vs Golden here in Fernie.
This will be a good chance for the fans to see some new Riders and some future Ghostriders as well, plus new goalies Brandon Butler and Jeff Orser. D-man Ty Rebelato 1995- Calgary AB and forward David Kelly 1996 also from Calgary will likely be on the ice too.
The Ghostriders Austin Wells is not going to Grand Forks as we heard earlier in the week. The quote I heard is that he got hosed there. More soon...
It's unfortunate for Wells, but Players get hosed on a regular basis from coaches
