The Riders got a big 7-4 win in Spokane Thursday night in a game that saw the return of two familiar faces. First off D man
Travis Thomsen who has only played 1 game since the 28th of December was back on the ice and hopefully he can stay in the lineup for the rest of the season. And former Head Coach and General Manager
Will Verner (1 Championship and 5 yrs with the team) made the trip and will be on the bench this weekend as both
James Ouimet and Jeff Zmurchyk couldn't make the three game swing. Verner is currently in Osoyoos working out of hockey now... but it's still in his blood... wanna buy a team Will...
Nice game for
Kyle Haugo (98) with a goal and an assist while playing up front instead of on the blue line.
Justin Peers also had a good night with 2 goals.
Dave Kelly scored what would turn out to be the game winner mid third and
Evan Reid was the Rider Player of the Game with 3 A.
Doan Smith scored again and now has a goal in each of his last 5 games plus he leads the KI in scoring.
