The Eddie Mountain Breakdown

The Riders lost 4-0 to the first place in their division Nite Hawks Saturday. The shots were pretty much even at 33-28 BV but the second period featured the Riders killing off 4 minors and a 5 minute major. That being said BV went 1-5 and Fernie was 0-4 on the PP so the problem continues to be not being able to finish off the good scoring chances they get. Tallon Kramer had his 3rd shutout for the Hawks.
That was BV's 8th win in a row

Creston lost 3-2 to the aforementioned Hawks Friday then took out their anger on the Nelson Leafs Saturday with a 7-1 whipping where they outshot em 2-1 then brawled em in the third. Read the game sheet here    Former Leaf  Pat Ostermann had the W in net but only had to stop 15 of 16, the 1 goal was a SH G by Ryan Piva.

Meanwhile the seemingly much improved Rockies who won 2-1 here in Fernie Friday got a point from Kimberley Saturday when they lost 3-2 in OT in Invermere Saturday. The Rockies were leading 2-0 half way through the third before Farmer and rookie Chase Miller scored to tie and in the OT keeping the Nitro's technically in 1st with 26 points along with Creston. You can see that game sheet here

The Golden Rockets remain in the basement but still play teams close losing 3-1 in Grand Forks Saturday after a 5-3 win in Spokane Friday Game Sheet here
