The Eddie Mountain Breakdown


After the weekend Creston leads the division with a  2-0 record while Fernie, Invermere, Kimberley and Golden sit at 1-1. Creston’s Brock Lefebvre pitched a shutout in both games. 

The other scores,  100 Mile gets their first win, 6-4 in Princeton, Nelson wins 6-2 in Spokane, Osoyoos wins 5-2 in Revelstoke, Kamloops wins 7-2 vs Chase and Beaver Valley and Grand Forks tie 1-1 in GF ( Galliart GF and Kramer BV were the POG in net, this was a nasty game check it out there were a ton of PIM )

No scoring in the first but in the second the Rockies Carter Beston-Will (Jefferson-Krauss) opened the scoring in the first minute and Fernie’s Aidan Wilson (Kingwell-Youngson) tied it up half way through.

In the third Colby Sherlock (Beston-Will & Krauss) scored the game winner shorthanded then in the last minute goaltender Connor McKay was credited with the insurance goal into the empty net and the Rockies get their first home ice win of the season.

Connor McKay stopped 42 of 43 for the Rockies and Brandon Youngson stopped 25 of 27.

Not many PIM however the Riders had 4 PP chances in the third but couldn’t score and were outshot 12-9 as well.

Connor McKay was the Rockies Player of the game and Keagan Kingwell was the Riders POG.

Fernie was 0-5 and Invermere went 0-2 on the power play.


Brock Lefebvre gets the shutout and Liam Plunkett, Sebastian Kilcommons, Grant Iles PP and Jake Livingstone PP had the goals.

Brock Lefebvre stopped 19 and Owen Sikkes stopped 34 of 38 for the Rockets.

Creston went 2-5 and the Rockets 0-3 on the Power Play.

Creston’s Grant Iles and Brock Lefebvre were both listed as Players of the game on the game sheet Sunday AM. 

This was a close game all the way through.
Nicholas Ketola from James Farmer and Caige Sterzer scored the game winner halfway through the third. Korbyn Chabot and Caige Sterzer each had 1 G 1A and Chase Miller scored the other goal.

The Rebels’ John Moller had 1G and 2A and Ed Lindsey had 1G 1A.

Kimberley’s Russian Katsneison stopped 24 of 27 and the Rebels Jason Maihiot stopped 33 of 39.

The Rebels went 1-4 and Nitro’s 0-5 on the Power Play

Players of the Game were Logan Styler and the Nitro’s Chase Miller.
