The Eddie Mountain Breakdown

The Ghostriders scored three goals in the first period. Then outshot Kimberley 18-9 in the second but couldn’t beat Ruslan Katsnelson.  In the third they gave up four goals (1 SH 1 ES 2 PP) and lost 5-3. 

Just like in Creston penalties killed the Riders in the third period,  they took 3 penalties in Kimbo, allowed 16 shots and lost their 3-1 lead .

Korbyn Chabot scored two PP goals including the game winner and the Nitro’s went 3 for 8 on the power play. The aforementioned Ruslan Katsnelson stopped 35 of 38 for the win in net and was named as the Nitro Player of the Game.

The Ghostriders Mitch Titus- PP (Pierce- Cheveldave) Ryan Kennedy (Stensland- Siebel) and Alex Cheveldave PP (Titus) scored all the Rider goals in the first.

Brandon Butler went the distance in the Rider net stopping 28 of 33 and D  Kevin Pierce was the Riders Player of the Game

The Rockies lose 10 -1 in Creston after losing 7-1 at home to Grand Forks Friday. Creston is now unbeaten and have a 4-0 record.

Creston’s Thomas Cankovic, Justen James, Lien Miller- Jeannotte, Kyle Bergh and Aiden Wong each had 3 points and Pat Ostermann had the win in net.
Shots 43-16 and the Cats also went 3-7 on the PP

Nic Lush (Dunn- Hunter) scored the winner with just :35 left in the game for Golden’s second win of the year. Jordan Bautista scored the other Rocket goal and Liam Murphy had the win in net.

The shots were 25-22 Golden and the Rockets went 1-5 while GFBB went 1-8 on the PP. Anthony Galliard was in net for the Bruins.
